Hello there!

I am Breze Schmitz, the artist behind Brezeart.
I loved art when I was growing up but I didnt truly dive in until my senior year of highschool. I took some dual enrollment classes at SCAD my senior year. Which then propelled me into art school starting at the University of Mississippi and obtaining my BFA at the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia. A highlight from my education was my time studying in Italy. My horizons were literally expanded and I learned SO much within the world of art.

When I went to school for Drawing and Painting I began creating jewelry as a side outlet and absolutely fell in love with all of it. This spun a web of creative outlets as I began to create and explore in many mediums. I love the fluidity that offers. While that does stump me when asked the question of - “Oh you’re an artist! What do you do?” I like to think that is one of the pillars that makes my art so one of a kind and unique.

My inspiration has a heavy draw from nature, time, and music. The work itself it truly fueled by exploration! That is why I love working in so many mediums. I am originally from Atlanta, GA but have been living in Missoula, Montana since 2018.
