Its here!!! I can honestly say I am so proud of these drawings. I’ve had this idea of a series living in my brain for a long time. I kid you not - when I finished the last one I sat and stared at them as a series and gave myself a legitimate pat on the back! I might have even teared up a little… It is such an emotional journey to draw like this. I’ve poured my heart and soul into each one of these drawings. It is so exciting seeing it come to life!

I have been saving this paper for years! It is hand pressed recycled paper with a ribbon finish. It was discontinued from the paper artisans so I bought all they had left. When I starting imagining this series almost a year ago I knew this was the perfect series for the special brown paper. My process is very meticulous, which can be tough at times, but I believe that is why each piece comes to life in such a beautiful way! In this series in particular the paper was an unexpected hurdle that called for a lot of extra sharpening and finessing to get the technical marks for the fine details. But oh my gosh so worth the extra care! I adore them on this brown paper and I think it elevates the whole series giving the drawings a timeless natural beauty. It has been so rewarding to achieve such charisma in each of these animals as they came to life. This series is extraordinarily special and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!

There are 12 drawings total in this series. All drawings are 12” x 12” done in Charcoal, Graphite, and Conté Crayon on Pressed Ridge Classic Laid Recycled Paper by the Neenah Collection. The drawings are $750 each plus shipping. Each drawing has a signed certificate of authentication. They come unframed - I am happy to assist with an artistic eye on framing recommendations.
